Brother you are right vlsi industry also become tough due to lack of resources or solution to the problems a vlsi engineer faces in solving a practical situation like for IT guys there's also such challenges come but they can get help of stackoverflow etc to overcome this but in vlsi every problem is a New problem as I think

Is there option of work from home in this field?

Not anything regular. Just something that would be done a few days/weeks here and there. Or maybe a whole month of the year because of the need to be somewhere

Bro...so I am a first year Electrical and Electronics Engineering student in a tier 3 engineering college. What should be the best path to join a core electronics company? Should I write Gate and join tier 1 colleges, or try for the placement in these 4 years itself??

Work life it still better than software as we grow up. Starting we have bulk. That's why people leave vlsi who have less patience 😊

Like we see that in software people switch jobs in 2 years and their salary gets hiked by a great margin? Is it possible in VLSI to get very good hikes like software industry bcz in VLSI there are very limited companies.

Hi Brother, I'm an Electrical and Electronics Engineering graduate. I do have some practice in Electrical field but not Electronics. But now I have some long gap(4 years approximately)from work experience because of some personal matter. Would I get any job related to VLSI after the completion of any short term course regarding the same? Do you have any idea?

I'm a diploma student now from ece branch and i want to choose vlsi because AI is replacing software engineers so is it better to learn vlsi basics from now...
Maybe i have more then 4 years to learn....
And what package can i get after learning 4 years about vlsi
