Buffalo looking to hire more minorities and women on the police force

Buffalo Leaders have come up with a new way to add diversity to their police department.
On Monday, Mayor Byron Brown announced the Buffalo Police Department 21st Century Police Academy Scholarship Program.
It will allow the city to send 50 qualified residents to the police academy, for 20 weeks.
Once their training is complete, as many as forty of them will be hired as officers.
Mayor Brown says he wants the faces of Buffalo Police Department to look like the faces of the city.
