Star trail time lapse with comet effect 4k

Comet star trails over a calm lake with nice reflections. View full-screen to be able to see the stars properly! This 4k time lapse video was created from 195 long exposures over the course of about an hour and a half. I used StarStaX to process them with the comet trail effect, saving each step as a new file. I then used those files to create the video which gives the impression of the stars moving as if they were all comets. Shooting location was Elk Island National Park near Edmonton Alberta Canada

Great shot Steve! That comet effect was unique! Here I am like everyone else, sweating over pin point focus, avoiding trailing and denoising in post, and you made the trailing a really cool artistic effect! Brilliant, really! And you got a nice holy-grail in all that too! What an incredible foreground. Glad to comment, you did a great job, and few people who see this work have any idea of the time/effort that goes into them! I'm subscribed.
