THE WEEKND CONTINUES ROLLOUT FOR NEW ALBUM 'AFTERLIFE' - Breaking Down The New Trailer

After teasing a rollout with an immense amount of lore and narrative, we have finally gotten the next piece in it with a new trailer called "Unprepared Certainty". In this video I break down all the central scenes and what they mean for the new album.

One more chapter of The Weeknd then Abel finna find his new stage name in a new Trilogy series

The first snippet in this trailer is a new intro for a leaked song called “Wake Me Up”. The leak has no vocals for 2 minutes but the instrumental is the same as the first snippet in this trailer, so I think this is a verse he added after the song leaked.

It’s rumored that this song will be in his currently untitled horror movie which stars him and Jenna Ortega, which I hope releases before September 15. I said this in the last Weeknd video but I’ll say it again, I’m a huge movie person and I really wanna see this movie on my birthday.

The second snippet is new, I’ve never heard that one b4, but it reminds me of “Shameless” from “BBTM” for some reason.

I love the Weeknd so much, when he tours next in the UK I’ll have to go see him again. The latest snippet (runaway) sounds straight out of trilogy era! - hence the house of balloons in the clip.

I’ve been listening to him since I was younger (like house of balloons, wicked games, I can’t feel my face, earned it, love me harder, often, etc). In the last 7 or 8 years I’ve really caught up on everything he’s ever put out, and he’s by far my favourite artist. Just due to the nostalgia, I can still remember the build up to after hours in 2019.

that house which he is walking in and through is literally the house of ballons in Toronto, that's the house, its called house of balloons, Abel used to live there and do house parties, and now its in the music video

This is the last teaser for the album bro, there's no other trailers or a movie from this. The director and editor of these teasers already confirmed this at the beginning, and on his website where it says:

"In the concluding part of The Weeknd's album release teaser, we follow The Weeknd's child-self through a false paradise reflecting on his past. The video also teases two new unreleased songs."

And The Weeknd already confirmed long ago that the album is not titled After Life

Abel said in a tweet the album won’t be called Afterlife but a song will. I’m assuming the first track is After Life

Just from the snippets I know this album is going to be an instant classic like After Hours

If you see after he steps through the clock (as the chimes are turning) you can see him de-aging, with him starting off with his house of balloons hair and into his younger teenage and child years.
