Just curious about the shells. Do they prevent the previous glaze from disturbance? What do the finished pieces look like?

Hey John, I did these ceramic heads standing up but now want to do a gold lustre over glaze but they barely fit in kiln on first glaze. Do you think I can fire them again sideways on stilts for over glaze?
