A very quick look at the bike with some parts to consider. This bike started as being a good original example and has been partially converted to a Cafe Racer. What to do with it?

I'm two minutes in and ready to watch your whole series haha. I have a 73 myself, bought 10 years ago off my buddy, who had it for several years before that. Just got her back on the road after an 8 year hibernation. Procrastination + broke + four carbs + children = took me a long time to get back around to it haha. But she's alive and happy again!! :) Cheers from tennessee!

From what i've read original seems a hands down winner

I feel your pain sir. I'm in the process of trying to restore a 72 Honda CL100 that some knob started to turn in to a cafe but gave up. I've managed to source most of the original parts he discarded (bars, air filter/ battery box and such. But he ground of all the tabs to hold the side covers as was the case with yours. I don't have the skill or facility to weld replacements so i'm toying with the idea of fabricating steel tabs and riveting them in place. I understand peoples enjoyment of building the cafe's, and many do look very unique and are works of art in their own right. But there are only so many of these classics left and when they're gone. Well, they're gone. Hurts my heart a bit. Love the channel Peter, keep up the good work.

This has easily become my favorite automotive channel on yt, so glad you're doing another bike. I hope you put it back to original spec, I hate seeing all the beautiful old bikes for sale that have been chopped up and converted into cafe racers.

I just started working on my own CB350four project here in Portland, Oregon, US. I'm really excited to watch the rest of this series and see how your project went. Loved this first installment!

The seat and where the frame has been chopped might prove a bit of a pain but it does not look like it would be to hard to get back to stock Peter. Look forward to seeing it. I have a 1970 twin.

It is time to let your creativity lead you and do something different. Doesn't matter the style as long as you put your twist on it. So a resto-mod, I believe is the way to go. I am sure that we (the people who follow your channel) will appreciate. René-Yves from Canada.

I do like the idea of going back. If you sell the Cafe parts you can pay for most of the restore back to stock. You do have some stock items that are hard to find.

Peter it’s nice of you to ask us but it’s your project. I had a 1969 honda 175 scrambler when I was in high school and your vid brought back those memories. You have all the parts all in good nick there is no question in my mind if it were my project !

I say for you to go with your gut. Make this bike what you want it to be. No matter what you do I will enjoy watching!

I had a couple 350 fours when I was young. There are plenty originals around and since it was started as a cafe bike, I would finish it as one, but try to make it look like a vintage one, not a modern representation. Just my opinion, really should do it the way you want!!

Gonna be fun. My vote would be for "semi-original".

I'll vote for stock! By the way I admire your time management skills, I have two old Hondas, a wife, a job and a cat and get overwhelmed! Good work with the channel!

Hello Peter, just thought I should tell you that your chrome exhaust will most likely clean right up with vinegar. Buy a few bottles of homebrand white vinegar, put it in a plastic tub and submerge the rusted section of the pipe, then rub with alfoil. Works wonders!

This will be another great series Peter! I love the fact that your wife is annoyed at you for buying another bike lol. Keep up the good work and go back to standard they look a lot better that way. Cheers

You have the best wife EVER! I'd love to see it as something other than a restoration. Knowing you, it will be understated and very well executed. Get out of your comfort zone and go a little wild!

Hi peter. As all the brackets and mounting tabs for the air box, tool tray and side covers have been removed, I reckon you should keep it going with the cafe or tracker styles. Also, the now black rims suit these styles of resto mods as well. Hi temp black paint on the headers will also look great and keep you costs down. Change the triple tree top back to standard and sell the alloy one on eBay to pay for a seat to fit the rear hoop. Just my thoughts, wayne.

After seeing how well you have done the CB750, I reckon ditch the cafe bits and return it to stock. Looking forward to this one
