Posey just standing there like.. "Anyone wanna play ball?"

I think Joe West was just waiting for Bum to do or say anything else so he could toss him. He gave him like 17 seconds to make a dumb comment and Bum just stood there staring at him. Bum knew what West was doing, and he didn't take the bait.

Good thing it wasn't Greg Gibson, the home plate umpire. He would've motioned to both players.

This is effective communication on display from both parties. Both got their point across without a single word

When MLB hires umpires, the most important criterion seem to be:
1) size of ego
2) size of temper
3) size of belly
4) rankness of breath
...
106) quality of eyesight

LoL this is beautiful. You can actually see the conversation they're having just using their minds. I love sports

I love how Posey just stands there for a little, realizes whats going on, then just keeps looking back and forth like "cmon now you two, settle down"

You know, I always go back to this video every now and then and can't help but to laugh my ass off at it, mainly because he's staring down Joe West, of all umpires.

As a Dodgers fan, this was the first and only time I'll ever say "atta boy, MadBum." My disdain for Joe West runs much deeper lol

Don't like it when the umps bait the players because they can. Either throw him out or move on.

Bumgarner was just staring at West's neck

Greg Gibson, home plate umpire, would have motioned to both players while staring

Posey's temperament is perfect for a catcher. The dude stays calm regardless of the situation / pitcher. Don't think I've ever seen him blowup.

As a White Sox fan, I’ve witnessed Joe West stick it to us too many times to count. What a jerk who has no problem making himself bigger than the game on a consistent basis.

Joe West just loves to instigate conflict
