Follow this debarcle with my insurance company when I needed to make an Insurance claim on my Alienware M18x Desktop Replacement Laptop (Gaming Laptop) which was destroyed in an unfortunate accident. Find out if my insurance claim turned out the way I wanted, did they give me the Alienware M17 or did the insurance claim end up sorting me with a spanking beautiful Alienware Area 51m?

Will they fob me off with as little as possible? An Alienware 17 Gaming Laptop? Or will they see sense and replace my Alienware M18x Laptop with the NEW 2019 Alienware Area 51m??

The insurance guy watched Linus's and Dave 2D's area 51m video, RAID video, and took a glance at the Alienware wiki. Word for word. Here in the states, statefarm payed out the full value of my laptop and cost of the repair quote after a quick fax. I'm glad it all worked out but all of these hoops they make you jump through is ridiculous. Best.

My M18x R2 is still in almost perfect shape (though I have already stored it away as its performance can no longer satisfy my needs 680M SLI). Thinking of replacing my 17R4 (7820HK, 1080) with the new Area 51M (10900k, 2080 Super).

Really enjoyed the video and am glad you'll be getting the Area 51m as replacement, was rooting for u hehe...at the prices we pay for all this tech, we can't let the insurance companies win ALL of the time...you and some of us diligent people shall stand up and say 'Enough with the greed already...we've offered up enough of our hard-earned cash to simply let it go to the greed and dispassionate manner and condescension of the insurance companies.' :D

This vdo came in my recommendations iv already seen ur videos on area 51m. So this was a prequel to me. But what i wanna say is that when u see a long video on ur home and u ask urself what if u regret it? Hi Andology... watched your video and it inspired me to contact my insurance company with a similar issue.. bought Alienware 18 with Sli 880m 32gb i7 etc in 2015 and it got damaged in an electrical storm 3 months ago.. after crying for 2 months and failing to fix it I contacted insurance like you did. I am now the proud owner of an alienware area 51m 2080gpu i9 32gb...very happy and keep up your good work :)

Great content mate just subbed ..btw I still own my old m17 r4 with 680m and 3D screen and my M18 R4 with Radeon gpu ...I love the old design of the earlier Alienware laptops and the keyboard and lighting is amazing 😉 You could easily fix this laptop buying parts off eBay

I just bought an Alienware Area 51 R2 also with Accidental Damage insurence. I hope I'll never have to use that insurence :). Great story though. I also enjoyed you're other videos where you reviewed the Area 51
