Alesis Strata Prime Review & Demo (BRAND NEW E-KIT!)

The Alesis Strata Prime is one of the latest additions to the world of high-end electronic drum kits. With its groundbreaking drum module and highly responsive drum pads, it’s sure to become a staple option next to big hitters like the Roland TD-50K, Roland VAD307, and the Yamaha DTX8K.

I was fortunate enough to get my hands on this kit, and I loved every minute of using it. In this review, I’ll share my thoughts on the module, design, build quality, and overall performance. I’ll also touch on its versatility and who I think it would be a good option for.

So far the best review/info video of this drumkit. Having watched all the others including the Alesis ones, this has spot on tight drumming, a good representation of the most likely real world useable kits without all the nonsense whirling around the kit. Thank you.

I’m just as impressed with the musicality of your drumming as with this monster kit! Thank you for the review.

great review dude, did you experience any triggering issues with the kick or snare producing low velocity hits? I've seen one or two people talk about this

All I care about is will the Module be sold separately and trigger well for 8 to 1, 200 dollars.

Informative, interesting and really well filmed - thank you Gideon! Keep the content coming - this has helped me decide what kit I’m getting next 🔥🎉

What’s your favourite sound on this kit?

How is double bass pedal feeling? Is the bd stable and the trigger responsive? Searching some kit like this one in order to play metalcore, thanks!!

I’ve been posting this question on just about every review. Maybe I missed it in someone’s video but can someone PLEASE tell me can you assign effect symbol sounds splash or crash sounds to the rims of these drums or can you only make them have rim clicks or cross stick sounds???Thank you.

Something I've not seen a single review touch on, which makes me worried that this feature isn't present... and that is the ability to play with actual brushes and it respond to brush sweeping (like one of the Roland kits!) ... And it looks like the snare doesn't have an actual physical switch to turn the snares on/off?

Any idea how much trigger input control you get for use with other pads?
I seem to recall the strike didnt play too well with other pads.

Sick kit! Wondering how many people will go for this over the Roland TD-27KV now. Seems to be a great competitor.

Visually its a step back to pads. Not sure why they bothered with keeping the bass drum that size.
