AFTERTALE - FILE NOT FOUND [Original Mix]

So this is an Original theme composed for Fatal Error in Aftertale. I named it file not found, but I stink at coming up with names so shara helped me with that one lol.

She recently made a theme for Fatal Error and I thought it was amazing, easily one of my favorites from her. So I was inspired to do one myself. Oh I should mention, this is fully original, which is a first for a while lol. I haven't made an original since the horrortale one and before that, monster.

For this one, I went for DnB. This one leaned more towards neuro but there are other elements from other genres like a softer reese (towards the end of the song) some distorted kicks, glitch effects, the works. I'm pretty happy with how this one came out. I've been messing around with some samples and stuff trying to get some new sounds off splice. Its been a great website so far, albeit kinda hard to find extremely good sounds since I'm very picky with them.

Mixing this wasn't too bad, I don't usually mix loud so a lot of my habits of being too conservative with levels had to be broken. Eventually I got used to how it sounded and it ended up being alright. trying to make the basses sound really loud to fill the space was pretty difficult especially when it comes to fitting loud drums on top. Thank god for sidechaining. Oh! I should probably mention the distortion at around 1:55 was intentional. I know it's not usually what I do but I thought I could experiment with distortion and loudness for the feel of Fatal Error. I tried pulling up a picture of Fatal Error sans while composing this to see if it can help with the inspiration, so here's the end result! I hope you guys enjoy!

This is pretty close to what I was thinking when I was thinking Fatal Error's theme, glitching and the like, though, still think it'd be similar to Error's theme since they both seem extremely similar.

Edit: now that I think about it, it'd be a mesh between Error and Geno since Technically Fatal is a combination of both, though more Geno in appearence and more Error in abilities.

Alright, second comment. I finished the song. I thought the added glitch noises and dial up modem sounds were a really nice touch! It added atmosphere and actually made the song sound more threatening. And the fact that this is an original makes it even better! Good job Kamex, and smart thinking for the song title Shara.
