I've recently started using Rhino as it seems very good at handling curvy geometry but actually I'm from world Sketchup and have been using it for 10 years. Your SketchUp channel was an important learning resource during this time. Glad you started a Rhino channel. I hope you will create content regularly. It seems there are less resources to learn Rhino out there, one of the great things of Sketchup is the online community around it.

First off, after several attempts your tutorials finally got me over the hump for learning sketchup. So thank you!

My son is also using Fusion 360 so I’m learning both, but focusing on sketchup until my free month of pro ends.

But your point about one tool making you better in the other is loosely related to the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis. It’s based in linguistic relativity and states the structure of your native language determines your perception of the world. This is exceptionally true in natural languages, but also programming languages and as you naturally observed, 3D modeling tools and more. I think what you stated is very powerful, and wanted to share a name for this hypothesis with you.

hi thesketchupessentials i have a question how will i boost my render speed in a low specs laptop make it at least decent and do i really really need a high specs PC for rendering a more realistic render? just wondering been a good follower in your channel.

So Rhino is cool, but god awful expensive. Did you pay full price or get a complementary copy? If your just interested in NURBs modeling then you should take a look at the cad program Moment of Inspiration or MOI. Michael Gibson the guy who wrote Rhino has a tablet based Nurbs modeler (MOI) that at first glance looks like Rhino, but is improved from a GUI stand point. Oh and it is a lot cheaper than Rhino and Micheal actually participates in communications. The newest version is 4.0 which has some nice adds from version 3.
Its not Rhino but if your just interested in the NURBs modeling its a reasonable cost, and you get the cool cup logo to look at.
