How To Measure IPD For VR

Are you curious about how to exactly measure your IPD or Interpupillary Distance for Virtual Reality? Then this is the video for you!

*Important* - Make sure to use a mirror when measuring your IPD and not a camera!

I tell you all you need to know about IPD in this video and show you a couple ways to measure it!

Interpupillary Distance is important for Reducing Eye Strain and Fatigue. It also makes seeing through lenses clearer and gives a 3D effect in VR! The Oculus Quest is the headset I show in today's video. I also talk about the Rift S and why you might want to avoid it.

all fine and good but what if my ipd isnt supported natively? some people have like 74mm or 54mm.. standard headset range from 58 to 71

If you have an iPhone X or later you can download an app to measure your ipd since it has true depth sensor

thanks, I was like you and thought I had to get them to overlap and always set it to the lowest possible one, turns out I am actually around 65mm, no wonder everything looked like crap, helped alot and good video
