1st Australian Reveal of Series 5 Y62 Patrol

Somehow I got the jump on Nissan’s release of the Y62 Series 5. Wasn’t supposed to be until 7th November 2019 but the released it early at the Adelaide 4x4 Show. Show price is $75k. Here’s my first look and my reaction

This Patrol mod.2020 in Adelaide is the standart Version of two versions and two motors. Only the higher version is all new in the Interior. But we think perhaps in Australia is offered only the Basemodel. The 2020 Patrol Interior in the Emirates looks like very very better.

Bloody hell, what happened to the updated interior! Was holding out buying any car waiting for this.

What shits me as y62 owner is that I have been waiting for this release to trade in my current patrol. But as we are not getting the UAE spec I will now just get the Sahara. No point upgrading if the interior is still the same.

The main update on the interior is the new speedo with 7“ Display and the infotainment with carplay and a new button in the center console but this y62 didn‘t have this updates.

Such a shame they didn't give you the new interior of the UAE Version. They did change quite a bit over there, speedo incl display, center stack, ceiling module with proper reading lights (same as in the X-Trail it looks like, which is great), black wood...Not sure why they would do that...Will be interesting to see if the better sound insulation made its way despite the interior looking untouched though...

If this one is Ti??! Will they put dual screens for Ti-L? or two grades are the same??

I own an S4 Ti with KoGear upgraded headlights. Only thing I like on the S5 that I would like to transfer to my S4 would be the tail lights. A set of Nismo ones can achieve a close enough look.

Fail on Nissan for not bringing the infotainment system from UAE. Surely its not a LHD v RHD thing, just $$$

Must say I'm a bit pissed off with that . The interior should have had a major upgrade but looks like Australia dips out again.Not happy Y62 owner.🤬

So is it the same entertainment unit software? Can you dim the centre console? Does the accessory power turn off when you stop the engine or when you open the door?

Much prefer the red tail light. Was it the same shape light as the previous?

We have it here in the middle east with a new center console, dashboard and a new eco mode

When's the diesel coming out? 😂 . I prefer these rear lights to the tacky altezza style that were reminiscent of "modded" Lancers by P platers back in the day. Was hoping for a better interior too.

Like everyone else here, where is the new interior that the UAE gets? Why does Australia miss out?
