Sadly due to homelessness I've fallen off of Destiny 2 hype and playing :c I've been following the news lately and it's saddening to see how the community is turning against each other basically.

I hate it that lately i only have fun in private matches with Friends, but I still play it, because I love the game. Yes, lately it has been a bit hard with server issues, hate, etc. But we all love the game and hope it will get better.

Ps: I don't really have a problem with the content except the current content drought

When everyone else spends their time getting mad and sending hatred, it feels nice to have someone… just ONE PERSON remind you that the game ISNT awful and reminds people why they play the game. This sort of problem happens in a lot of popular fandoms after a certain amount of time, unfortunately. I’ve been a Star Wars fan since long before Destiny even existed, and as iconic as the franchise is, the fandom has become notorious for its overwhelming negativity. For a time, it was nice to see so much positivity and respectful criticism from the Destiny community back when it was new. Fortunately, that positivity is still there if you know where to look for it, but it’s just not the same. Hopefully, things will get better in the future.

Its because Bungie just refuses to anything about the issues. Then when peoole realised their complaints fell on deaf ears it turned into hate. Overall sad situation

I personally think a lot of people just need to take a break, enjoy some other games, and come back at a later date. Any game, no matter how much you love it, is going to get frustrating to you if that is the only game you are playing for an extended duration. I am currently playing Baldur's gate 3, others are playing D4, etc. Instead of attacking the devs, take a break. It doesnt make you a weaker person to remove yourself from the game for a bit.

As a Destiny content creator trust me I get it. It’s very hard to be passionate about something you love when every time you play the game or want to create content the community sometimes even your friends are constantly bashing the game. It’s exhausting because you start questioning why your even playing/creating content in the first place.

Gonna be honest, having played the series since 2014, I'm not nearly as bothered by the dry spells and occasionally underwhelming content drops as I am by the community at large.

It is, without exaggeration, one of the most toxic communities I've ever experienced and the constant criticism of the game that you're growing loathe of is but a fraction of the problem.

It's nice that your zeal for the game is palpable from the content that you post, but I promise you, both the game and the community will test your patience a lot and I see so, so many content creators both new and old alike seem like they're very unhappy having painted themselves into a corner as that one sole Destiny creator; it's part of the reason I could never do it as much as I enjoy the game in spite of itself.

There’s a lot to unpack about the “hate” in the community, mainly misconceptions. The biggest being that most people in the community aren’t hateful the ones that are hateful are just loud.

We need more D2 content creators to be fairly critical of the game. We can’t pretend as if everything is okay. No one deserves to be harassed but Bungie management then need to take more responsibility of the criticism/feedback and be more open and transparent with the community

Agreed, its this damn community, for 6 years gaming, this is the worst community I was part of, especialy the life threatening to bungie, like wtf, if people seriously hate the game, they should be matured enough to know to quit if they dislike it, then they wonder "why does this game suck so much?" because of the hatred you all given, all of you deserve this.

I get how you’re feeling. I’ve been thinking recently about kind of leaving the community for a while, at least on socials. I know the game has some problems, I know it isn’t perfect but man… the level of hatred some people are throwing in the air is astounding. Like dude, we should all know by now this franchise will always have highs and lows, it’s part of the cycle, most of the people feeding the hate machine just need a break, it is draining to be part of this community at the moment and I just wanna enjoy my raids, dungeons and GMs. Now, similar to how I recommend people to just take a break from the game when they need to I think I’ll take a break from interacting with the community in general. That’s why people like you become even more valuable at moments like this, I appreciate the fact that you and a few others haven’t let yourselves be consumed by the toxicity and hatred.

I couldn’t agree with this video more. Every time I pull up social media it’s just hate like you said it’s so tiring. Thing is (hot take) I’m actually enjoying the game at the moment it’s still fun Destiny 2 to me. I understand the problems and I hope they are fixed but I honestly don’t think Bungie are as bad as a company as people say they are. I hope you are able to feel that spark again for D2 content Zavalr love your videos and you always keep the positivity up for this game so thank you.

For me its quite simple, I love destiny so very much. Am I currently kind of sick of it? yes. How do I solve it? do literally anything else while I wait for new stuff. Like tf is it that hard?

This is a sad confusing time for destiny 2 and bungie, but i believe there is hope for the future. Bad times come and go its just the way things are, what we need to do is make the best of everything

Haven't played destiny for a few years, bit I geniuenly love this channel and am saddened by people going after you for basically no reason. And ita completely understandable to feel burned out when a community is burning down its own ecosystem. Please stay strong and even if you move on to non destiny related stuff, I'll keep watching you.
