BART Backpedals on Controversial Policy of Withholding Crime Surveillance Video

KPIX 5 got a different explanation on Thursday about why the agency doesn't routinely issue press releases or surveillance video when crimes happen. Earlier, Kerry Hamill, director of external communications, had written a memo and e-mail saying a reason the agency withholds some crime reports is because they don't want to unfairly characterize riders of color. Bart pretends to care for it's riders but ironically it endangers them in whichever apologia it wishes to choose from it's own stack of BS answers. Okay Bart, the strategies that BART is "planning" is either:
•To see-no-evil and keep riders unaware that Bart has problem "riddled with petty crime", because it wants to want's to look like a Disney ride of fun-fun-fun.
•To protect the identity of these poor little rascals and their cute shenanigans from the awareness of the evil judgmental riders and instead bestow them with the tranquility of a blissful ride of ignorance.
•Infantalize "people of color" by protecting their "fee-fees" from any description that would embarrass any one of could be minority groups that isn't white (POC) because Bart's racist pretzel-logic thinks that POC don't have the coping mechanisms to deal with the disassociation of a crime they know that they themselves did not commit. Or put simply because they don't want to "Make The Black Kids Angry."
•The wool over eyes/throw sand in eyes strategy to deflect public perception in order to do what Bart agency is most reliable, to increase fares.

bart is a PUBLIC transportation funded by tax payers.. we pay their salaries.. we have the right to know, use Freedom of Information Act. how will you protect yourself from a robbery if you dont know who they are ? i also believe that one of those juvie is a 19 yr old boy. i blame the parents of these juvies. dont want to be stereo type, dont do the crime.

How does barf know, that they are minors? Did they stop, and ask any of the hoodlums their age? What a bunch of crap! They should be ashamed, for bowing in to these criminals .
