Trendy Entertainment has officially announced Dungeon Defenders II. Just like the one-time children, now grown-up characters from the original, the game has grown, with a new competitive mode modeled after League of Legends and Dota, a much larger roster of playable characters, and an emphasis on the ability to play it cross-platform.

because the game devolopers want to update the game frequently but on xbox and ps3 updates cost the developers a lot of money since Microsoft and Sony charge them per update unlike valve

10. Will you be making more DLC for DD?

Most of our team is currently focused on making Dungeon Defenders II as awesome as possible. We will be releasing at least one more DLC for Dungeon Defenders, but our content support for DD will slow down to make sure DD2 is polished and running smoothly.

11. What about Dungeon Defenders 1? Will support continue for that game?

Support for Dungeon Defenders 1 is slowing down, but we will continue to support the game with community events.

I don't care about exclusives on any console, but it really bugs me when they release the first game of a series on all platforms and release the sequel exclusively on one platform. I understand it just might not be possible, but it's very annoying.

Can't blame them really, its going F2P which wouldn't go too well with the business models of sony or microsoft

they already had enough problems getting some DLC onto the consoles and they weren't allowed to patch some problems on the xbox version otherwise it would have been costly
