On ne se félicitera jamais assez du retour de Slowdive, en studio comme sur scène. Direction donc le BBK Live Festival à Bilbao pour y retrouver ces légendes et se plonger dans leurs compositions vaporeuses.

Slowdive apparaît aujourd’hui comme l’une des formations majeures de la vague shoegaze des années 90. Un statut amplement mérité, mais qui aura su se faire attendre. Pourtant, nombreux sont les artistes à se prévaloir de l’héritage Slowdive, notamment grâce à son album culte Souvlaki.

En 2017, Slowdive met fin à 22 années de hiatus en publiant un quatrième album sobrement baptisé Slowdive. Ils récidivent six ans plus tard avec l’opus everything is alive. Un comeback applaudi par la critique comme par les fans de dream pop et de shoegaze.

Après les avoir reçus sur la scène d’Echoes with Jehnny Beth, c’est dans un tout autre cadre que nous retrouvons les membres de Slowdive : le Bilbao BBK Live Festival, l’un des plus grands festivals d’Europe. Mais que ce soit devant un public trié sur le volet ou devant des milliers de festivaliers, la magie Slowdive est la même. Il ne reste plus qu’à fermer les yeux pour une heure de vol en apesanteur.

This is fabulous. It should be a dvd release. Best recording visually and sonically of Slowdive I've ever witnessed.

This is the most polished and musically perfect live appearance. I love these guys, last year was by anyones metric tough, but their music kept my head above water. Finding this performance is a gift, thankyou.

I remember listening to slowdive for the first time back in 2002 and I loved them, I had no idea they were so hated until they released "slowdive" and I know now they were wrong for that, it's an amazing band ❤

I always heard the name “slowdive “ or saw it on some poster but I never heard their music until last week Saturday at the “ just like heaven festival” and my gosh! Did I fall in love with the music from the first sounds of “shanty” the rest of the set list was amazing. They sound great live! Can’t wait to see them again. Slowdive please returned to Los Angeles.
