After my rescue dog hopped my 6-foot privacy fence on her first day home, my dad, Fitch, took matters into his own hands. He is a regular Mr. Fix-It who can build/fix/install almost anything.

We did this to our gates on our 5 foot fence when we got my German Shepherd because he learned that it was easier to climb the supported gate than the shakey fence. Definitely works and I recommend it for any dog owner that has a dog that likes to fence jump

My dad had an escape artist husky while I was a kid. He spent thousands of dollars trying to keep him in. In the end some cheap chicken wire at the top bent back so it's hanging over kept him in.

The rollers are supposed to be placed right on top of the fence so when the dogs paws land on them, they slip off. These rollers created a barrier, I'm sure the dog will figure out how to get past them eventually.

I had a dog once that jumped out fence. He would runtowards one wall at a corner, jump at the fence and then jump off the side of the fence over the other fence with a foot to spare. Stg that dog was crazy af.

Coyote rollers are amazing for keeping escape artist in the yard especially for primitive breeds.

Simple fix is to add some extra poles/boards above your existing poles a couple of feet and adding a loose plastic garden fence. They reach the fence and try to climb it but it’s very unstable and they lose their balance and jump back down. As long as it’s secured well should do the trick. Works keeping our cats and they’re much better climbers than most dogs.

Pre corona we used to board my dog at her vets kennels. They had to by rollers just for her cause she’s the best (and probably the sweetest) escape artist they had. She is notorious and is immediately recognized the moment she walks in the door after escaping during a blizzard and forcing her love and cuddles upon the lady who slept there for the few days she was there
