What is deepwoken?
Deepwoken is a hardcore Roblox permadeath RPG roleplay game where the player loses all progression after depleting their 3 lives. This system is similar to Rogue Lineage. However, every time the player levels up, they gain an extra life up to 3 lives stored. When there is only one life remaining, the player is sent to the depths and has to find a way to escape back to the overworld.

Every character can be unique and built differently. The race doesn't affect the gameplay that much, it only gives a slight buff. By spending attributes points in the different stats (strength, fortitude, intelligence, charisma, willpower, weapon mastery and elements), you can unlock stat-specific talents and mantras when levelling up. Each stat also provides different buffs and can change the gameplay experience greatly. The cards are completely random and you can get better cards (legendary and rare) by getting more lucks (which is obtained by gripping players and killing certain monsters). This basically ensures that you will have a different experience with every different character.
Similar to other RPG games, after creating your character in Deepwoken, you can explore the map, travel on boats to explore other regions, level up and get good. You can obtain weapons, armors and other equipment from chests, and if you are lucky, you might get enchanted gears. It is also possible to get overpowered abilities called resonance or bells, I've never got one because I have skill issues. There are also different Oaths, a character can only have one oath at a time.
There are multiple weapons types: heavy (great axe, hammer, great swords, etc.), medium (sword, katatna, etc.), light (daggers, guns and fist) and 5 different elements (fire, ice, wind, lightning and shadow). The NPCs are quite strong, and a player has to know how to parry, block and dodge properly to not die horribly which is the reason why the game is really hard for beginners who play solo. Anyways, I had a great time grinding, getting roasted when escaping the depths, trying to kill Primadon, dying, having my characters deleted and doing PVP. I had fun trolling others with my 140 damage strong left and vow of mastery. Overall, the game lives up to the hype, and the gameplay is very enjoyable. I was only able to show a small part of the game with this video as I have several other high level characters with other builds. This video is by no means a guide and is not an optimal way to play the game. Like always, this video is filled with a lot of jokes and dead memes and takes the form of a funny moments/funny montage. In turn, they can shop the online catalog to purchase avatar clothing and accessories as well as premium building materials, interactive components, and working mechanisms.

The parry dagger only used to increase your parry frames but now just gives the enemy more posture when you parry.

it should at least make the left arm parry because the dagger is being held in the left hand.., it says it is used for parrying but even with it equipped the parry animation is still with your main weapon. it also adds +4 damage i think so you HYPOTHETICALLY could do 40 dmg with shattered or shotel

It also increases your damage, it isn't that much, but its actually pretty useful for low levels, since light weapons in early game do no damage at all.

“Reaconteur” I think the rock climber talent is pretty cool and if done right could have a really cool animation

the only use i can think of for them is if you get an enchanted one, you can effectively have an enchant on any weapon

dual weapon talent
Flashy Dancing
roll cancelling, feinting then hitting an m1 would swiftly dash slash through the enemy with your secondary weapon going behind them, leaving behind an afterimage and doing 50% of the weapons dmg while procing bleed
4 second cooldown

could be hella nutty with blade dancer(resets roll cooldown upon hitting an m1) and spinecutter

A deepwoken copy actually made parry dagger useful, I can't remember which game it was but it made a like "perfect parry" system where after perfect parrying it would do a bit of damage on parry to the enemy and have a slash animation which could allow you to start comboing the opponent.

It doesn't increase parry window any more, it just increases posture damage dealt and reduces posture damage taken

God, daggers do not need a buff, I pray on the downfall of these ideas and not being considered.

actually.... its pretty good in extreme lag. Pretty amazing actually. Me and my asian friends have it on most of our PVP builds incase we have high ping, and it really helps, especially when the person your fighting has no anis.

Dual wield could be one handed training but for daggers except it lets them use both of the daggers, would be a good way to implement it.

from what i know (from a friend who knows arch quite well) dual wielding isnt possible with how the current inventory/wield system works

On the topic of switching weapons, I'd like to see reverse grips to weapons. Like katanas, daggers etc. they'd have different M1's and imo would look nice as well. lemme know what you think

At that point they should just add a dual wield talent and make it strength, agility and a weapon requirement depending on the weapons you want to dual wield. Like 30 medium lets you dual wield medium but throw in 30 heavy stat and you could use heavy and a medium. It would be a weird balance issue for a few days after release but i feel like if they tweak dual wield swing speed, damage and end lag for both weapons depending on what the primary and secondary are it would make for insanely diverse builds in game especially considering the new alloys and more to come.

I say some of these ideas are cool, but maybe instead of having different swinging animations you can have it like the pistol, that you press right click to do a hit with it, that is pretty quick, maybe a bit faster then the dagger but with a small yet limiting cooldown (of about 0.65-0.8 seconds), this can make hell of an interesting item to combine with not only daggers but with medium and heavy weapons and it will allow for m1 m2 combos and feint tricks and what not.
