Colts drafted Evan Hull at 176, not Asim Richards at 169

Asim Richards? Lol we never drafted this dude, it was RB Evan Hull from Northwestern. The dude who catched the most balls as a running back in college footballe last year.

12 picks of all elite athletes, take a chance on the most athletic QB ever, get great value on several picks and draft a couple guys who will be day 1 starters at positions of need (Downs and Brents). That’s a great draft. Now it’s just up to them to build around and develop AR as much as they can because it really is true that in the AFC, you can’t truly contend for a SB without an elite QB.

I love this draft. At least one of these athletic freaks ends up becoming a stud almost every year. Why not gamble by having 12 picks that are almost all athletic freaks? If you trust your coaching to train up guys, then you should target the alpha athletes.

Indy is my team and we had a generational talent in Andrew Luck and that worked for a lil while but ultimately he didn't bring home a championship. With Richardson he is a potential generational talent and he can do things Luck couldn't do so why not use #4 pick on a guy who can possibly be an MVP one day. Darnold went #3 and Mayfield was #1 overall and so far they have been busts so I'm so glad Ballard decided to take a swing on a potential Grand Slam instead of taking a bunt on a guy like Levis.

Ballard said it best… all the QBs had issues so why not take the guy the the highest upside. Doesn’t mean Richardson will hit though.

PFF is unusual, in that they rarely give a hot take to elicit a response from the Internet. They speak for the data. And I’m here for it.

I might be wrong but our average RAS in the 2022 draft was higher than this year. Jelani also had a 10 RAS.

Minshew is in an interesting position from being on a bad team in Jacksonville to Super Bowl team with the Eagles as a backup and get to lead a rebuilt Colts team in Indy because no one is thinking he could be the wild card that lead the Colts to the playoffs with this athletic group of young players and me personally had the Colts in the playoffs last season but it didn't work. This could very well be the group that does it and by being on the Eagles team he now have a mental path to lead a team to the playoffs at least to this point. It maybe crazy but possible...

As a colts fan, all I'm looking for in year 1 is flashes. Years 2 and 3 I'd like to see some consistency. Year 4 is when he puts it all together. JT needs an extension.

Richardson is going to have to beat out Minshew in camp to get the start week 1. I do think that he is going to play at least 2 quarters in every preseason game. The only other draft pick that needs to start day 1 is Brents. They need a 3rd starting corner to go with Rodgers Sr and Moore. Now, I do expect Downs to start at slot WR, but he has to show he's better than Dulin or Strachan. The thing I see immediately out of the box with this group of picks is nasty kick coverage. Mallory, Jones, Wagner, Hull, etc. are going to be flying down the field with first contact at the 17-18 yard line. Setting teams back inside their 20 is statistically huge in preventing scoring.

Insane athletes means the ceiling is higher if they hit their potential. Not all of them will but even if half do you have incredible players in multiple positions.

Im a Colts fan but i think were gonna regret picking AR over Will Levis. I honesty think Gardner will start and potentially lead us to the postseason as the full starter. maybe put AR in some short yard packages/Redzone
