Where ever there is enough money, there are bound to be people willing to risk it all to take it for themselves. Whether its sketchy sponsors looking for free ad space, wall street hucksters trying to run off with a quick buck, or a team owner who is in way over their head, NASCAR has no shortage of liars thieves, and lawyers strewn all throughout their history.

The fact that this was released on the same day Alex Bowman won a cup race is both amazing and blood curdling.

I appreciate that you picked up my story. As always, you killed it with this video. I just wish racing wasn't so political.
EDIT: I really appreciate everyone's support. Unfortunately I don't have the time to reply to everyone. But I am doing okay now a days. I wish I could still race but it's just not in the cards for me. It is what it is and I try not to get hung up on it.

Big Daddy’s bbq sauce sounds like the perfect sponsor for Mike Harmon

Hilariously, Red Bull ran Ferraris this year in DTM, despite being competitors in F1

Hey Andrew, if you're reading this, I hope you're having a good one.

I used to race against Nick Latifi in karts, never had the talent to be anywhere close to him, but I knew a few guys who were. One had a very similar story to you, family sold everything to put him into lower formula in Britain, sponsor backed out, and he was forced to move into a slightly rundown old schoolhouse out in the countryside.

Luckily the legalization of marijuana helped his family get back on their feet, but for a good while, it was really rough for them. I hope you and yours were able to get back on your feet.

Any young guy who bills himself as an "entrepreneur" in the state of Florida should immediately be suspected of fraud.

"accidentally shoot herself in the back of the head, twice" is the line of the show. Excellent.

Big Daddy's BBQ is the most Mike Harmon sponsor I have ever seen

Thank you for the shout out, S1ap! I appreciate you taking the time to contribute your own narration to the Ginn video.

When I was in High School, Andrew Murray had come to my Driver's Ed class one day. Being really the only NASCAR fan in Temecula I was excited and had a great chat with Andrew and wished him the best with his career. I just recently wondered what happened to him, and now I'm upset knowing that his career was ruined by Alex Bowman's dad. While I'm still excited that Hailie Deegan, also from Temecula, is running in NASCAR I wish that Andrew had gotten a chance to live his dream of being a racing driver.

I think Vice should do a series on NASCAR called “Dark Side of the Track” like they’re doing with WWE on “Dark Side of the Ring”.

So Alex Bowman's dad snubbed Andrew's (not me) dream of going pro. That's really messed up.

This is one of my favorite series. Glad you could managed to work up another one.

I feel Andrew’s pain to an extent. I couldn’t get a sponsor no matter how hard I tried or how many tracks I dominated, wins, or championships. So I never got enough push to be able to even make it to the k&n series. In the end I ended up getting screwed over by most tracks. Due to me showing up and beating the cheating locals.

Hey Slap, I used to work for JGL Racing, I was one of their designers and marketing reps, I can tell you a lot of dirt about this team. Would fit well. I got $300 for 2+ years of work, a failed contract obligation and one of their owners died and then the team folded, one of their sponsors wasn't actually a sponsor. I ended up working with an "owner" who wasn't actually an owner but a sponsor pretending to the owner. Its interesting. Let me know.

My brother once had a similar sponsorship with one company called "Brewington Electric" (In which they sponsored my local wingless sprint car series and sponsored a few cars), The owner of the company promised that they would provide money for fuel, tires, car parts, ect; but at the end of the season my brother realized that the owner didn't even pay him a single penny, luckily my brother didn't loose everything and is still racing because a different company actually payed for stuff and is still sponsoring my brother's race-car.

Big ups for taking the time to talk about Andrew Murray. I can't imagine how hard it must be for him to be forced to abandon a raging career like that

"....if she ever decides to start talking, and doesn't accidentally shoot herself in the back of the head twice" lol! loved that line
