Alex teaching us that silliness is the key to surviving 7 seasons of Riverdale. Seriously, this feels like the puppet episode of Community mixed with Potter Puppet Pals. I love that the recap formats get more absurd as the show gets duller

The biggest praise i can say about Alex is that he managed to watch every single Riverdale episode thay consists of 7 seasons and 128 episodes so far for the sake of our entertainment in this review 😂😂

The comic panic is a reference to an actual comic book panic in the 1950s that led to multiple congressional hearings on juvenile delinquency and comics. The result was a number of publications shutting down, moving underground, or taking self censorship that made the Hayes Code look relaxed. Archie Comics was ironically one of the only companies to float by pretty much unscathed because it material was so light and fluffy. It was also the last publication to drop the Comics Code Authority censorship stamp…in 2011.

I have no idea if it’s more stressful or less stressful to dress up puppets and film them, rather than doing animation, but THANK YOU Alex, for the time and effort!

As someone who was a fan of the original Archie comics, I am so conflicted on this season. Cause like this was the Riverdale I wanted when it first came out years ago. This is the characterization I wanted, just in a modern setting. But after establishing themselves as their own thing and having their own ridiculous highs and lows, I accepted the new Riverdale for what it was…..only for them to give me the version I expected years ago in its final season??? I definitely prefer this version of the cast but it feels weird after seeing Archie stop a meteor with his abs.

All I've gotten from this season is that 50s Betty is horny as hell and Archie is dim but sweet. It almost feels like the show got renewed for a final season but the writers had already done so many crazy sh*t that they don't know what to do as a send off for it. Man I am going to miss watching Alex slowly lose his mind each time a new season of this show airs as there's just something so special about these vids that never fail to make me laugh/smile.

Betty's story sounds like its simply a retelling of the urban legend of the woman who refused to take her hair out of a bun and a black widow spider laid eggs in her hair and ate into her brain.

I was onboard for the Alex dolls, but when I saw the Riverdale crew I just burst out laughing. Bravo sir.
