Former Labour adviser Stella Tsantekidou thinks it’s a “very good move” for Ireland, Norway and Spain to recognise Palestine as an independent state

Irish premier Simon Harris said the decision was taken due to Ireland’s understanding of a country’s fight for international recognition, and based on a belief in “permanent peace”.

The decision is to formally take effect on May 28.

Stella says: “It doesn’t come across as aggressive towards Israel - I think Netanyahu is being very manipulative.”

So, the very first key element does not even exist for "Palestine". The own people living in Gaza do not recognize their own borders! How can you even think about recognizing a "State" if even their own people have not agreed to their own borders?

I think Ireland, Norway and Spain should open their borders to all from "Palestine". They shouldn't go half measure, they should go all the way. It's such a progressive thing to do. These 3 countries have lot's of land available.

Let me tell you as an Israeli, it does come across as aggressive, as the countries can dictate what should happen on the ground.

Moreover after 7th October attack - it sends PAL the wrong message - terror pays - whilst still holding 125 Israeli citizens captive in horrible conditions
