We have a consumer based economy. Money in the hands of consummers drives the economy. Lack of money in their hands creates recessions.

Education Secretary James Cleverly needs some more education on borders. UK was part of the single market. Free movement of people. That has changed and therefore passport checks have changed dramatically.

The tax cuts are now only being mentioned to appease the very small number of old Tories who will choose the next PM. The problems we are seeing everywhere are mainly due to 12 years of Tory austerity policy. Public sector numbers were cut. Brexit meant that we are third country status now. We are now a hard border. Cleverly is lying about this, if he doesn’t think he is then he is incompetent.

In face of the NHS crisis - for that is what is happening - how are cat cuts going to pay for public service? More money for people due to lower taxes is not going to fix that problem nor any other in public services. And how on earth is immigration going to fix the problem of lack of people? Surely the easier access to professional people, as was the case before Brexit, is better.
