4:37 For those who don't know, the instruction cache and the data cache together form the L1 cache.

Everyone is talking about the power efficiency, imo the most mind blowing thing is the GPU, who would have thought that integrated graphics will one day destroy most of the discrete ones!

9:46 Funny, this time they indeed gave on the bottom right which PC laptops they are comparing with.

Blender is getting Apple engineering help, so a native Metal version of Blender is imminent. Blender feeds into Steam, which means games.

Do they really manufacture different chips or do they disable cores via software?

This is the video I was waiting for right after they announced the new processors.

You didn't mention what I consider the most important part for me which most windows laptops fail miserably at and that is unplugged performance. It seriously defeats the purpose of a laptop. Not only is performance like 80% worse but battery life still fucking sucks while doing so.

Is the on-chip RAM to CPU channel 400 gigaBITS per second or 400 gigaBYTES per second? Apple said gigaBYTES, but you (and others I've watched) keep saying gigaBITS per second. Which is it?

Hey prof, when I asked why they have so many options on the CPU, someone talked about binning, which made sense to an extent but then I asked why the neural engine is unaffected and they said that is impossible to go through binning. can you just make a video on this please so I can really understand and for other people looking to buy a MacBook and choose the processor that works best for them?

Garry can u please highlight wether M1 chips are hyperthreaded or not ? M1 pro with 8 core CPU is 8 x physical cores or 8 x logical processors ??

I really want to know this, if the rams fail in this kind of unified design, what happens ? Is it fixable or one is just toasted?

I am hoping Garry is planning to benchmark these M1s on speed test G. Can't wait.✌️

I'm interesting in M1 Max with 32GB unified memory configuration. Will it be 4x8GB with 400BG/s or just 2x16GB with 200GB/s bandwidth?(this is actually where Apple can trick us)

Honestly, coming from the tech industry myself, I really value Gary's input into soc's in the arm space. Gary, you're doing a great job

11:27 Couldn't the ambiguity regarding whether the 30W is referring to GPU only or the whole package be resolved by referring to the M1 power in the same graph and compare it to the data when it was tested?

Hi! Do you believe the Liquid Retina XDR display requires more GPU power than the M1 Macbook Pro, which lacks the XDR display? In that case, would it be better to invest in a 32-core GPU rather than a 16-core GPU for future-proofing?

this is what i have been waiting for..Gary explains is everything when it comes to in depth technical knowledge. thumbs up, you deserve a million subscribers

8:12 How do you identify this stuff just by looking at it?

Thanks - So are the new M1 processors based on Armv9, or are they based on Armv8 ?

I have a question .
The memory used in the apple silicon is ddr and not gddr which makes it slower in theory so how is the memory speed so fast despite boasting ddr and not gddr
