Judas Priest [HD] Metal Gods 1983

Judas Priest is heavily referenced as a major influence on multiple genres of metal, including but not limited to power metal and thrash metal, the band is widely lauded as the "metal gods". Their influence, while mainly Rob Halford's operatic vocal style and the twin guitar sound of K.K. Downing and Glenn Tipton, is seen in countless bands. Their image of leather, spikes, and other taboo articles of clothing were widely influential during the glam metal era of the 1980's. Their 1980 album, British Steel, has been referred to as the "record that, more than any other, codified what we mean by "heavy metal". Despite a decline in exposure during the mid 90's, the band has once again seen a major resurgence, including worldwide tours, being inaugural inductees into the VH1 Rock Honors in 2005, receiving a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance in 2010, and their songs featuring in major video games such as Guitar Hero and the Rock Band series.

I used to listen to Unleashed in the East A LOT back in the 80´s. This version is really great! I saw them live many years later. Would have loved to be at this gig!

I miss this voice of Rob Halford. However he's still and forever will remain The Metal God!

Just saw JP in Chicago this week. Still amazing. Halford can still tear it up.

Still my favorite band. Still, even in 2024. 👍🎸🤘

1982-1989....best time to be alive and in your teens! big cars, big bands, cold wars and hot chicks.

This music shining, precise, impeccably crafted metal. Halford the metal god himself. The band behind him a ruthless crushing panzer tank of a machine.

Priest was so spot on during this show! Every song is so tight and polished that it's almost like listening to the albums! Metal perfection at it's finest! \m/

It's hard to believe that was nearly 35 years ago.

I probably posted this same comment on this thread years ago. This may be one of the top two or three all-time greatest hard rock/metal performances ever documented.

This song is from the British Steel album. Released in 1980 and later ripped off and made into a movie. The Terminator is this song!

The bridge absolutely makes this song, it's all good, but the bridge with that low, deep guitar sound just makes this song!
"Better be there slaves...." WACK!! Whiplash sound....

At numerous times during that video, at the left hand side of the stage, there's someone standing just off stage, wearing a white shirt and yellow shorts. I cant help but think that's David Lee Roth. That's what he used to wear in those days, and whoever it is has also got the blonde hair. All the times of watched Priest at that concert, hou see that person during a number of songs. He's also there during Living After Midnight. Strange I guess.
