Completely agree about the work ethic issue. Need to be working harder off the ball to win it back...Pep Guardiola at Barcelona made the 5 second rule in training where if Barcelona lost the ball they would graft to get it back straight away (within 5 seconds) and he drilled it into them. You can play your attractive attacking football but there needs to be hard work in equal measure and some. Keep up the good work Baz

Tbf fair to Kone, he put the ball in the back of the net - simple chance, yes...but he was in the right place at the right time - if he did that every time he played I'd be pretty happy.

Nice to see Kone score, He is not a awful striker, he is good for cover, he is not a 90 minute player.

Ross was boss and Lennon. Don't agree with him having the armband, he's too introverted and could see it as added pressure. Still happy for Jags to have it for now.

Baz, I think the issue that folks have with Barkley is simply consistency. He does all those things that you say, but then he can get lost in a match, get marked out of a match. Sometimes his decision making is not the greatest - shoots when he should pass, and passes when he should shoot. Ross has also been known to dribble himself into trouble, and take an extra touch when he shouldn't. I think these are things that he can work through.

I feel he needs to think less and use more of his natural instincts. He is very ordinary when he stops and has to make a decision. I would see that a lot when our opponents park the bus, and Ross tries to dribble around looking for an opening. To be fair, I DO see his teammates standing around watching him when he does that - not knowing where to go and what to do. But when Ross is just playing naturally; he can be massive.

One day, he will figure this football thing out, and it will be awesome. And despite all the rumors and almost certain transfer speculation by Man City fans, Man U fans, etc; I think he'll still be at Everton when he does that.
