I Went from prediabetes to type II about a year ago. I'm 62 years old. Was using metformin and glipizide. I started Keto with Intermittent Fasting (I.F.) usually eating at 16/8 or OMAD about 22 weeks ago. Stop my Rx's about three months ago. I started using Berberine and Benfotiamine about two months ago. I've lost 60lbs in the last five months and feel great. I'll be getting blood work done in a few weeks to see how that A1c looks. It was high last time with the medications, but I was eating crappy then. Wish me luck!

This is such an important video, thank you! My mother is due to have a artery graft 2 weeks today because of a 4 inch blockage in her iliac artery...her first symptom was cramping pain soon after starting walking that goes away once she rests.

6 months ago my A1C was 7.2. I have since brought it down to 6.2. My doctor was amazed I did this. I quizzed him on how to reverse diabetes and he could not tell me. So I informed him of the 3 steps to bring yourself back to health. 1) Exercise 2) Low carb and high fat diet 3) intermittent fasting. Why is this so difficult for Health professionals to learn? I wish this was more common knowledge, especially among "Doctors"

Thank you Doctor for putting this out there. I am Diabetic. It runs on my mother's side of the family.
Both my Grandfather and Grandmother suffered from amputations. My aunt had a toe as well. My doctor checks my Microalbuminuria test every 4 months, checks my feet and pulse, and orders my A1C test and complete chemistry. I have my eyes dilated yearly and have a cardiologist. Have to keep on top of Diabetes, it is nothing to fool around with.

I wish I had seen this video a month and a half ago. I was diagnosed with diabetes about a month ago and had most of these symptoms in the weeks leading up to it. Shortness of breath, my abdominal muscles being in pain, having to piss every hour, blurry vision and being disoriented… plus super rapid weight loss (30 lbs over the course of 2 weeks) and a drop in blood pressure (when I checked in at the ER it was 80/60). My dumb ass had thought it was a stomach bug, but anyhow I remember checking in to a small ER thinking it was a stomach bug… cause I’m a dumbass… and the next thing I remember is coming to in the ICU almost 2 days later having pancreatitis and diabetic keto acidosis. It was a pretty scary week. Thankfully I’m responding well to the insulin but yeah, I’m definitely paying closer attention to symptoms now.

I have recognized low blood sugar in other people twice in my life. Both times they were on the ground and almost out of it. I asked their friends/family if they were diabetics and asked for some sugary drink from the crowds. Both of them were back to normal in 15 mins. If it wasn't low blood sugar, the sugary drink wouldn't hurt them much and, because it WAS low blood sugar, it brought them back. Being a type 1 made it easy to see what they were experiencing.
