Fake ID **CORRECT** LINE DANCE TUTORIAL

In this video, we teach you the CORRECT way to do the Fake ID Line Dance - straight from the Footloose 2011 Movie & original Choreographers. 😉 This is a two-wall line dance with only ONE tag at the very beginning after the first round!

What makes this line dance so cool is BECAUSE it's from the movie, it is the only line dance that is universal all across the globe. 🤯 We love that. Line dances tend to differ depending on location, so it's pretty awesome that you can walk into any dance hall or country bar and feel confident when this line dance comes on.

the intro is so ironic because this is one of the dances that I see done differently at every bar... I've seen 2-wall versions, 4-wall versions, many different numbers and placement of restarts, and one bar even faced a new wall each time they did a restart haha

The issue with this "canonical" "standardized" "correct" dance is the roadmap. There's an objectively correct way to do the steps themselves, and you can follow the line dance in the movie up through the first chorus (although it actually starts with the B section of the dance). At that point the dancers in the movie break off and start doing their own thing.
You can follow precedent thru the second verse and chorus, but then you get a truncated 8-count post-chorus, followed by a bridge and a guitar solo, and how you choreograph those is anyone's guess since the dancing in the movie is no longer recognizable as the line dance by the time the second verse starts. As for the 8-count tag at the very end of the song, all bets are off.

Aaaa, I'm trying to learn this by following here and observing the scene from the movie but theres some conflict! For the most part everything seems very much the same except both times you get to see them complete the 48 counts... they turn left! im so confused ;c

I don't know where you got that this is a 2 wall line dance, but it is clearly a 4 wall dance, as noted on the stepsheet.
