When moving the cab block It didn’t dawn on me that it ls a mono cab block and should’ve been stereo to keep the stereo effect as it’s placed after the reverb and delay.

However my intention in this video was to demonstrate the tones through cabs and just show direct for reference - my bad guys!

If you follow these steps be sure to use a Stereo Cab block! 😊

This is the first video I've ever seen where the Mic'ed signal sounds better than the DIRECT. It sounds so much fuller and well-rounded when the switchovers occur, and the cabinets are projecting.

Right on, Rabea! Great video. I have a QC and play exclusively into a SD Powerstage 200 and Mesa 2x12. I’ve always wanted to also go direct to FOH with an IR. This video definitely helps to motivate me to move in that direction. Thanks man!

Very useful video! this is the way I use QC live, you get a massive tone with this config. To any QC newbie, make sure to set the split in A/B position with which you get a better result compared with the other options IMHO.
Now my only concern is to get as a gift (Thanks NSDP!) Plini X or Rabea's and wait for it to be updated to X 😆

This is the best of all worlds. I will have a QC. It is in fact, a certainty. I WILL run it like this. I will. It will be the end of so much tap dancing.

To prevent too much tube saturation coming from the QC into the power amp you can back off the master volume on the amp model and turn up the output to compensate. In this situation you could duplicate the same amp direct vs the output to the real amps and just adjust it the model going to the real amps accordingly.

Rabea, you are very fun, enjoy your experimentation, tones is in your fingers before anything, the talent and skill rings present. But some cutting edge tech does help.

I use a similar set up, I have a lane for amp going to SD Powerstage and onto my 4x12 for feedback and then two other lanes for stereo amps and fuzz for FOH. At a recent gig the sound engineer talked me into just using floor monitors for the feedback via cab sim xlr out used by FOH. I monitor in ear and usually get a nice balance and can feel air from the cab, but the floor monitor took away the joy the 4x12 gives me, changing that interaction also made the guitar sound less organic and a lot less fat (I crave fatness).
