Perenials which regrow every year without having to plant or harvest are a less costly feed source. Rotational grazing is more solar powered than mechanical planting, harvesting, and feeding.

BCS in grain fed cattle is WAY different than BCS on 100% grass raised beefers. Grain fed ruminants can get too fat. 100% grass fed fat cattle are NOT negatively affected by their fat stores. Grain fed ruminants will grow faster, but will NOT have as nutrient dense meat profile. Check out Stephan Van Vliet's research on regen soils, plants, meat VS high input soils, plants, meat.
