Cheap amazon dive light on a camera trey?

this may be a temporary set up it could be around for a while I dont have enough dives with this light to say for sure but check this out .

Awesome job!!! I LOVE that watch. My son and I use the Garmin as well. Great idea showing how to tie the bolt snap in. So many people just kinda half-ass it and end up losing their equipment. The tie off that you demonstrated is our favorite, and extremely secure. We like the Amazon lights for background and mid-foreground illumination in caves and caverns. When I use the Amazon light on my rig it seems to wash out the detail. I have found that the OrcaTorch D-530v is super affordable as a brand name video light and provides a really nice natural light for the subjects closer to me. The key for us is to keep the brightest lights the furthest from the camera.

It’s a wide beam, I’ve got six of them, I do like them! They have been very reliable, But I use them for shooting real estate and lighting up swimming pool pools and sometimes shooting people in the water, lighting up watercraft from underwater. Different purposes, but no as far as shining it on small subject not the best.

Do you still use the lights at least occasionally? I am wondering if you would still use them for example for video?

I use my gopro with an extension stick. That way you can get closer to the animals.I use the light with my other hand so the distance from light to camera is about 3 feet. That reduces the reflections of all that stuff in the water to a minimum - they are not on the footage.

I forgot to mention, we have used them as deep as 160’ without issues.

So basically you are complaining about the light because it's wide beam and you didn't see that ? There is nothing wrong with light, you just don't know how to read what you are buying ?
