You know one great thing about the majority of Trump’s picks? The majority of them are UNDER 50. About time we get some youth in positions of power. Geriatric skeletons need to GO

"The Department of Government Efficiency" is contradictory phasing like military intelligence.

Doesn’t matter which side of the isle you’re on. An entity to determine the efficiency of our spending is long past due. We’ve all heard the stories. Buddy of mine was in the Navy stationed on an aircraft carrier. They dumped new F-16 engines into the ocean so they could buy more…millions per engine. We NEED this accountability.

DOGE will make recommendations to the White House but will have no legal power to make any cuts or changes to the govt. There are many interests that may fight such changes including unions, businesses, and Congress. Everyone has their own self-interests. Some changes could be tied up in courts for years. And in 2 years the next election could flip the Congress so Trump would have to act very fast and change in govt is alway slow.

We could reduce government employment by 20% and services wouldn't get any worse. In fact it might get better if people thought their jobs depended on putting in effort.

What are their powers? How will they be compensated? What control do they have over decision making and enforcing decisions? You left an awful lot out.

Their will be no more bribing and no more pay off for looking the other way. They don't need your money.

This difference is about as meaningless as saying "America's not at war! You can only be at war if it's formally declared by Congress!"

"No, the Department of Government Efficiency is not a new government agency." Wow, that's really efficient. Guess you've proved they are already living up to the name.

seriously people? We needed to VERIFY that this isn't a "new" government department? Did no one just THINK about the unwritten rule of government agencies? Figure out what ACRONYM you want, and make the words fit. This is Elon Musk! Of course it would be the acronym DOGE!

So they're going to work outside of our government as a private entity that just not sound reassuring.
That sounds like no checks and balances
