Prime Hazard would make defenders look silly

Will never get over this. Hazard was my hero as a teenager. Absolute magic with the football.

His work ethic caught up to him at Madrid

As a west ham and premier league fan in general. I used to love watching hazard play. Anytime chelsea was on tv i would watch it for that guy. Incredible talent. Could of gone on to so much more bigger things personally if he kept fit that summer going to madrid. What a shame

I always feel like it was always Neymar or Hazard for next in-line for best player after Ronaldo or Messi. Both fell short, probably because of injuries and mentality.

Mourinho said if he’s not being protected by referees we won’t have Eden Hazard and he was right

Even with the massive fall off, he’s a footballing legend and genius. One of the best prem players of all time

Everyone ignores the fact that he had a brutal ankle injury in his first season at Real, an injury that he had to operate on three times, and he said that his ankle is gone and will never be the same... he basically had a career ending injury, but hid it to get the $ in his contract. Prime Hazard was a legend of the game.

Samuel Eto'o warned him in Chelsea

Hazard cant blame no one but himself, if he had the right mentality back then he wouldve been in a much better position rn, but then part of the injury came too so it messed him up

Not comparing the two ability wise but just like Ronaldinho, Hazard’s peak years created memories that are worth more than other players’ whole career. Football is all about moments and memories at the end of the day.

The injuries finished him mentally. He didn’t have it in him to recover from them & get fit again.

I don’t think it’s work ethic cause he performed consistently at Chelsea. I think it’s injuries. Fans underestimate what injuries can do to a player. Couple that with moving to a new league in the biggest team in the world, and having to play in a position where arguably the goat just vacated. Not everyone handles pressure the same way.

Hazard was in the top 3 players in the whole world at that time at Chelsea

Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard

No work or winning ethic. He gave up himself.

As a Liverpool fan. The only players that had me worried when the ball was at their feet. Was berbatov and hazard.

It’s simple. I would say its a mix of injuries and the role he had at Chelsea. He hasn’t had a real chance to prove himself since that Meunier injury, at Chelsea even when he was out of form or injured he’d come back with a bang, like that spurs goal where he was missing the whole season. Now he barely makes the bench.

Talent doesn’t beat father time, he’s been relaxing and taking it easy since Chelsea, he’s just so good that it didn’t matter but now that he needs the effort more than the talent he can’t be bothered, and honestly when you got that kind of money and his type of mentality it’s just easier to enjoy life, he’s got everything now.

I remember I used to hate him because on his day if he showed up, you aren’t getting the ball of him, you prayed he had an off game as you had the chance to break up their attack and actually get something from the game, but on his day you weren’t getting the ball of his feet. In hindsight I miss that era now
