Kevin is literally just a cartoon business man who got glitched into reality.

This was amazing for their marketing, the Sharks practically begged them to drop their quality and they stood their ground. Makes sense why the company is still operational.

She really puts her heart into the quality. When she was like “exactly!” I was like “she’s right!”

Not paying over $100 for 3 days worth of soups. Bad idea.

They were very lucky that after the show Matt Higgins reached out to them and helped them out in an advisory role
and also took on other investors in of a similar market to help them out. The only thing I couldn't find was the net worth of the company though their revenue last year was 9 million. Sara was also one of five winners of Kroger’s first “Go Fresh & Local Supplier Accelerator".

I used to live just a few doors down from a Soupergirl girl store in Takoma DC, back in 2018. Lori is right, I never went into the store (soup isn't my thing), but the brand name stuck in my subconscious all this time. The moment I heard the name on this episode and heard they were from DC, I was like "Nah it can't be those guys from that tiny little Takoma store!" But it definitely was! Hope they're doing great.

Perfection is the enemy of profitability-
Mark had just revealed one of the sacred secrets for profitability in the business.

Their website is awesome and they’ve really expanded! I love Sara’s dedication to high quality and value, even if it means some setback. Her mindset obviously paid off: during the airing, they had a net worth of $5 mil. They’re net worth now is about $21million. Higgins even approached Sara and her mom to help after the episode.

She’s in the right. She stood her ground on wanting to maintain her quality. Good on her!

I literally just ordered their products off their website. The price points are actually not bad and I’m also impressed with the nutritional facts. I support a company that believes in quality and value.

She has a good sense of humor but you can tell she is educated and knows her stuff

You see so many Shark Tank deals get agreed to on the show that end up falling through later. This was one of the only times I can recall seeing the inverse - the Sharks rejected them but Matt later called them up and changed his mind. They brokered and finalized a deal after the fact

So happy to see the sharks end up being wrong on this one. 9.1mil in revenue last year with current net worth of 21M and growing. Quality still matters.

What I really liked about this episode was that there was a lot of back and forth with regards to company, numbers, business model and product. Really enjoyed it!

Uncle Roger would be so upset to hear her say “what is monosodium glutamate” during the pitch

I looked on the website and it’s on average $8.99 per 16oz soup. That’s not bad compared to restaurants who sell it for the same price or more. and you know for a fact it’s not even close to the quality of this soup. Not a bad product in my eyes. They have a ton of options.

I used to deliver cookies and moonpies to their kitchen in DC that was downstairs. Insane operation at the time...dozen people just cranking out soup. Amazing to see they made it on to Shark Tank.
