Assetto Corsa is pretty incredible. I've played every serious sim and been a member in iRacing for years but this smashes it. The thing is with this game you don't need a brake marker, you know how hard and how much grip you have just from driving. It's %100 natural. It's like driving your own car and knowing the limits of it.

As an Italian I can be proud of Kunos, we can finally show that even in Italy can be produced games (do not know if it's the right term in this case XD) high quality in the gaming scene :)

Definitely a solid tech preview. The user interface alone is really brilliant and definitely a huge improvement compared to netKar Pro. Didn't notice any bugs yet either and it ran smooth on my relatively old machine. Looking forward to the full game!

Just FYI, Python is a programming language, not a program to send data back. What was installed was the Python 3.3 interpreter, which allows a computer to execute the Python scripts.

We apologize for the mispronunciations and sounding mis informed over net framework and Python.. We were anxious to get this and BTW.. we've always struggled saying Kunos name.. That extra 15 minutes may not have helped us.. ;-). We hope that the rest of the show that was about the Tech Preview hit the mark for you..

Bought because of this review. Thanks ISR!

Python is a programming language. You can use it to write your apps/plugins for the game.

They also said that they do not collect data automatically, you have to send the data to them by clicking on the relevant buttons in the menu.

Good preview - one of the the really cool additions to the game/sim that I liked were the Apps and being able to position them any where on your screen/s; like gear/revs, track map and many others. Like you guys said "looks very promising"

@isr
don't know if you realized allready but.. python is not the thing what sends out data... data is only send if you press the buttons in the menu to send logfiles and benchmark data...

python is the thing for all the apps and plugins and that stuff that can be programmed and are in the game

Can you do another video on this game? I just saw it on steam with more cars and tracks.

Hey Cue..Where's your show ? We'd like to see how we're supposed to do things.. ;-)

"blather on"... lol

You guys mentioned all 5 of those games. I think at some point it would be interesting to run a head to head comparison of all 5, possibly once they have all been released. I think although it would be hard to judge, it would be awesome to watch.

Tommy moved on and works for CXC Simulators now.. We moved to Washington and Jessica is no longer with us.

Great episode guys, it's great to not hear call outs of IRL names and a strong focus on software (hardware is always nice too). Shaun as the brains and Darin as the colour is the way it should be (Darin you're smart and Shaun you mix it up too :) ).

Might be nice to see some of those G27 review angles if you know what I mean.

Hi Darin & Shaun, As you were talking about the tyre model in NK I was just wondering..
if you guys were to create the ultimate sim, which studios would you put in charge of each section of the sim? eg. Who does the best tyre model, who does the best car physics, who does the best car models, best tracks, UI etc etc
Maybe a possible future segement on SRT (if you haven't done it already) with in depth looks as to where you'd put them, and why?

Mouse steering is not built-in at the moment, but it's under development. I.e., it'll be in final. However, it's possible to use mouse steering via a virtual joystick. I'm using keyboard and mouse controls with PPJoy and a GlovePIE script. I've got a lap uploaded, my current PB is a slow 1:24.393, compared to an alien 21.9.

This is the most realistic driving simulation I've ever driven, and I have driven them all!

Can't Wait for this... I think I need to finally get that Buttkicker installed on my rig.

I have gotten off of sim racing for awhile because of work and playing all these new games coming out one after the other, I want to be competitive again at least until the PS4 comes out, you did say this will be out Q1 of this year.

Nice to hear. Im using a hybrid of mouse+pedals for Race07, since my wheel decided to crap out on me. Maybe in the future a g27 will find a home in our house...

'Sry' for speaking about Race Room and P Cars in a bit of a distinguish way in previous posting, which has now vanished. I just tired to brake those Sims down into even some more certain categorys and therefore Racing Room might get more of an a bit more easy 'action-racer-game' with simulation aspects as well, but not completely comparable to IR, (RF2) and AC, which appear to be 'more mature' (and more real also) in a direct comparison. But this is a simracing channel for all Sims, so I agree..
