If NINJAGO looked like MONKIE KID [Animation}

after finding out i could animate in clip studio, i proceeded to spend the past 3 weeks making this and learning after effects in a night so thats fun

Fun thing about zane’s sense of humor: he’s actually canonically pretty old (don’t remember his exact age) so his sense of humor is just fuckin ancient, and only jay probably got it cuz his parents are pretty old themselves

I remember being so freaked out by this episode XD. Partially because Zane being a robot was such a shock and also because him dancing like that was so unnatural XD. You did a great job on the animation and I think Ninjago would look great if it were animated in Monkie Kid style :D

Besides, the fact that it looks amazing I hope that the 2023 ninjago reboot is 2d animated. I really like the 3d animation on the original show but 2d is always my favourite and I hope that lego does more 2d animation takes on their properties

This episode’s story has lived rent-free in my head ever since I watched it, and I only ever saw it once. That was how memorable it was.

And now it’s reanimated and looks so much better!
