I TRY, a solo performance by Anastasia Papatheodorou, appeals to the present-day economic crisis in Greece and its subsequent social upheaval. The country which thinks itself the cradle of the Western civilization, is once again approaching ruin. How will this dire situation affect the soul of the modern Greece and its most vulnerable inhabitants: the young, the elderly, the unemployed, and the artistic community, which so often suffers first?

I TRY incorporates a projected film tour along the streets of contemporary Athens with powerful imagery of the recent violent episodes, while the artist performs an improvised interference with the moving image through poetry voice .
