It is obviously the US media is treating China as threat, whereas Qualcomm is seeing China and Huawei as partner. After all, business is business. Politics is always politics.

We are in an age whereby the primary skill of a CEO is saleman, spin doctor, and public relations specialist. Accordingly, you cannot take anything they say seriously as they throw out buzzword without any in depth understanding.

This is why I like Elon Musk who describes himself as an engineer. I long for the days when Bill Gates and Steve Jobs were running companies instead of these paid actor types. For me, they inspire no confidence.

Qualcomm also has had a long dispute with Apple over its approach to licensing patents. One big question is the impact to its business of not being able to sell its chips to Huawei. Another big question involves Huawei's intellectual property. Huawei owns a very large number of patents on 5G technology. In the real world it is very likely that any implementer of 5G technology will depend on both Qualcomm's and Huawei's intellectual property. How does the United States governments prohibition against Huawei and American companies doing business expect that reality is going to be resolved so both companies are rewarded appropriately for their intellectual property?

Huawei is competitor of Qualcomm because Huawei can make own chip, the other Chinese phone manufacturers are using Qualcomm's chips,
when sales of Huawei phones increase it means less number of other Chinese phones are making which lesser chips from Qualcomm are needed

I wonder how will it affect you as a private enterprise, in the long run it may damage your botom line, since you depended so much on chinese companies, whether you will survive is a question mark, time will tell.
Other then chinese markets, I don't think you have the demands to keep you going.

I like how Mollenkopf is slammed with China questions and asked to explain his “weak” quarter before even getting asked about himself lol. Slight change from the last “influencers” 🤔...
