Fiber Marking CLEAR Acrylic

I failed to mark clear acrylic the first time, but here's a short video of a second attempt with a different method. I didn't attempt to play with the settings much, just wanted to see if this actually works.

Not sure where you focused the laser but it needs to be focused for the stainless not the top of the acrylic

Are you sure it is not simply the heat generated from marking the steel melting the acrylic, not the reflection of the beam?

I mean wouldn't it etch more of it if you repeat several passes? After the first pass a layer of the acrylic is already stained and absorbing the laser beam.

Thank you for your videos, before marking when you press for the red outline to appear, it seems like its not a perfect square like other chinese fiber laser machines I've seen, is there a way to make the outline border more clear? This helps a lot with positioning if I want the writing to be parallel with the borders of the piece.

What is happening is the laser is inscribing the metal and the vaporizing metal, and the metal that is vaporized is being deposited on the glass that is being heated/melted.
