The Sword and Shield Era of Pokemon Cards has been absolutely crazy over the past several months. With their age now passing what is expected of the Pokemon Card Reprint Window, sets from the back half of Sword and Shield have really started taking off, flying in price past MSRP.

Chilling Reign, Fusion Strike, Lost Origin, Astral Radiance, and Brilliant Stars all recently went out of stock on the Pokemon Center website resulting in huge price spikes and plenty of attention from various influencers and Pokemon Card Collectors. With Pokemon Card Reprints being unexpected for Sword and Shield era sets, it seems we have fallen to the last survivor from the Sword and Shield Block - Silver Tempest. It’s crazy to me that this hasn’t sold out yet. I know it was printed a lot, and it’s not as sought after because of those God packs that came out. But it’s still a really good set, and still will have a lot of value overtime. I personally snagged a case of booster boxes for myself. I think it’s a really solid set, and even though I already have the Lugia, I think it is a beautiful artwork. I would be surprised if it’s still in stock by the end of the month

TCGplayer takes 14% from the seller. So selling for 167 is the break even point for people making their money back from ordering these boxes from PokeCenter. Thats the line that sellers are holding. And that's why

I think people don’t like buying from pokemon center because the packaging isn’t always good. I have seen so many videos where people get single booster boxes from pokemon center that have been damaged. If you get a case then it’s safe. I think silver tempest and that lugia can be a great investment.

If you purchase from TCG player you can expect the box to be properly packed. From PCI the risk of damaged product with zero recourse isn’t worth the cost saving.

Silver Tempest is the only Sword Shield set I've been internationally going after since I got back into the hobby a couple months back. Almost down to V's and Full Arts. Victini and Rapidash are elusive. Finally got Zygarde in RH today
