This is NOT a major problem in this game! Ropey hit detection is! Period !

My biggest issue is hit detection, and the very languid leveling up.

For some reason, my bullets dont seem to damage people consistently at the moment. Its got really bad. My ping is good, and everything else feels smooth. Im getting the white hit marker telling me the bullets are hitting, but their health doesn't go down, and they just turn and insta-kill me. Getting shot round corners seems to be a lot worse as well.

Having 40 kills and only getting 1 level is crazy. You should get weapon xp for non weapon kill actions, that would go a long way.

I agree with this. Having WeaponXP come solely from kills enables people to only go for kills and not be a point to play the OBJ.

lets talk about weapon xp and ignore the poor hit detection.
directionless sound i can hear a gun fight but im not sure where it is and then you find it when you get shot in the back again.
poor map design (i refuse to play dumbo and emporium).
poor map rotation (every lobby today had showtime as an option).
poor weapon balance (smgs shouldnt be gunning down ar's at ar ranges or even taking down snipers and marksman rifles at their ranges !!!).
the tac50 crutch (lets add flinch, great now you just have to be able to hit them first !!, but we wont increase ads sway and add frames to slow the quick scopers.
grenade throws, they randomly go either 50 yards or 3 yards, throw a frag and it will go off in your next match (just cook the frag, erm thats what semtex is for throw stick bang or rather in xd its throw
health bars that tell lies, despite "being fixed" once.
and the bunny hopping, lets add weapon sway, erm also reduce the height of the second and third jump and stop any jumps after that, simples.
the ultra that has the 5.7 pistol ppl can earn it 2 or 3 times in a game.
so yer lets talk about the big issues of weapon xp lmfao, ffs.

This game is not going to be a yearly series like COD therefore I believe they did this so we didn’t finish everything within a few months of release as well as provide additional longevity to progression.

Hit detection is so bad I really wish I would record my clips more because I literally will get hit markers with a SHOTGUN but I die somehow like what????

x2 xp for anything related objective play, which stacks on double xp tokens and weekends etc. that would have obj’s being played HARD

Also the Activate boost exp is garbage.
The timer count while searching for a group, during loading phase.
Since I play on PS5 with crossplay off, want to avoid less cheater.
Often searching for a game could take 1-3 minutes, +loading phase, the 20 minutes is a 15 minutes. If you don't get any other hiccup.

Is it too much to ask to play the game mode I want and while upgrading my weapon at a reasonable rate?

That's the big issue. The attachments can literally make a gun super op and people using vanilla guns have no chance.

There's been a lot of misconceptions. People used to say you get exp for playing the objective, which is false, I tested it myself.

However what's confusing for me is that my weapon levels are definitely going by really fast. I average anywhere from 20-40 kills per game, depends on the lobby and I play the objective more than most. But even on those games I get 15-20, I still level up my primary 1-2 times that match. So now I'm sitting here thinking my account may have perma double exp.

And then you got Jev over here about to finish getting gold for every weapon in the game already and I can't even fathom that.

An idea for XP I had as well is to add faction clans in the game, play with your clanmates and you get more XP that just adds up the more people you play with in your clan, plus the fun social aspect it could add as well. They could do clan events, specific rewards, etc. Stuff like that

I have all the AR’s maxed at level 67 on XDefiant. I gain 4-7 weapon levels a game, but you need to be dropping 40-60 kills a game and dealing tons of damage. I don’t think the weapon leveling is slow at all but I know I’m biased somewhat. I like the challenge even! Once you hit a nice flow with a gun, weapon-leveling takes off. If you guys want my builds for AR’s, let me know in the replies to this comment.
