I feel so weirdly distanced from those days being a teenager escaping to Morrowind now i'm in my mid 30's and life is not nearly as magical as back then. I loved every second of it. And now i find myself searching for Morrowind videos. All the sudden i'm so nostalgic and filled with both joy i can still play but i'm also sad because i can't go back in time and relive those days you know what i mean? Well anyways. Hope you get to enjoy the game again. I'm thinking i should go back to Morrowind. For one last time. I got unfinished business with the game 😄
I love the music. Story. Magic. It's the best game ever made if you ask me it gave me so much joy. Thanks for the wonderful video of music compilation from the game.

Edit - I'm very happy for all wonderful replies to this comment. Just goes to show how fantastic Morrowind really is and all that it's magical world have provided us all with pure joy! We are many that feel this nostalgia who really love the world of Morrowind and the memories we created within this world. It's also clear many of us miss that pure feeling we got when playing it and now feel that it's harder obtaining the same magical feeling as adults. I wish you all well my fellow outlanders. Hopefully i'll come across you at some point in a cosy warm Inn somewhere between Balmora and Seyda Neen 😊

Morrowind is the most beautiful game I've ever played, as a kid, as a teenager, as an adult.

The one thing that has stayed at a consistent quality since Morrowind: Jeremy Soule's music.

I hated school.
I was relentlessly bullied and was constantly depressed. But when I came home I'd start up the old xbox, and the moment the morrowind soundtrack started, everything seemed to melt away. Never before or since has a soundtrack pulled me into a world like Morrowinds.

That unicorn chased me across half of Cyrodiil, kicking it's hooves against posterior the whole time. I was low level, outmatched, with no idea what I'd gotten myself into. Eventually I came to a town, I don't recall which one. One of the guards began fighting the unicorn but I didn't stay and watch, just went straight for the inn. It was definitely time for some ale. I ate, drank, and slept, ready to continue my journey the next day. But when I emerged into that new day's light, the unicorn was there. It was out there, waiting for me, and I'd never known such persistent malevolence.

The Oblivion soundtrack always hits me right in the feels. I spent a lot of my teenage years in Oblivion.

I started my gaming career on a VIC-20. Played all the way up to the late Amiga and got bored with all the new games. The flair was gone, the magic dead. I shifted towards other things, and stopped gaming in the late every time I picked up a game afterwards, it lasted for 10 minutes max.... and then my wife, who was an avid console gamer, gave me these CDs and said: "Here, play this. I just played the brand-new Oblivion, and it rocks, so I purchased this - by mistake, as it is a PC game. You have a PC - have a go." Not wanting to disappoint her after having listened to her telling me about all those wonders of The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, I installed it.... and was hooked. I have now played Oblivion, Skyrim, and am still playing ESO... but I always come back to that special game given to me by that special woman - the love of my games and the love of my life. Morrowind forever.

Morrowind, the first game that really hooked me. Playing it is like slipping back into a comfortable pair of old trainers. Oh, to be a kid reopening that Christmas present again.

There are a few milestone, "wow" moments in gaming history. For me, one of them was stepping out of the boat and seeing Seyda Neene for the first time. It was jaw-dropping at the time. I simply couldn't believe what they had done.
