Ancient temples which are also landmarks in Meghalaya
1. Nartiang Durga Temple in Jaintia Hills is said to have completed 600 years, most of the devotees visit this temple are Pnar origin. It is said that once upon a time human sacrifice was practiced in this temple. These days goats are sacrificed with a human mask on.

2. Kamakhya Temple in Mankachar in South Garo Hills near Meer Jumlah is also an ancient structure, it is said that this temple was there during Aurangazeb's regime. Devotees from India as well as from Bangladesh visit this place.

I myself is a christian and I can say this
Our religion doesn't promote forceful but choice.
It's an individual's choice whether to accept Christianity or not.
But beware their are many false christians too.

St Thomas started spreading christianity in India and he was killed due to his faith. I am sure no one would sacrifice their life for a false religion... Christianity will spread more.. Jesus is king

In Kerala, Christians make up less than 20% of the population, so it's inaccurate to claim their dominance. What's the issue if people choose to convert and follow their preferred religion? It seems that some individuals from North India tend to propagate negativity in our peaceful community. As a Hindu, I don't see any problem with people embracing diverse religions as long as they coexist peacefully. I belong to SC caste. I feel Hinduism is a humiliation for any minorities. The religion itself makes any minority feel like they exist just for the higher caste to feel superior. I’m from Andhra and people are converting into Christianity in a huge scale. I don’t think there would be enough rice bags for all of them. Even if they did have rice bags for all of them, I don’t see a problem here because If only Hindus cared about the people in their community, there will hardly be any conversions right!?

People who are saying we got forcefully converted, as for north east, most of our ancestors didn't even have a religion and used to live in fear . There are many stories where our ancestors have been haunted by demons. But as soon as Christianity came everything changed, tge peace and joy. The assurance of salvation by grace through faint in my lord Jesus Christ. I'll love Him forever no matter what the cause❤. Jesus loves you❤.

Let's try to get into the mindset of the low-caste hindus or dalits living at the time when St. Thomas, the Portuguese colonisers or other missionaries arrived on the Indian shores. If I was born into a religion where members of my caste were treated as third-class citizens and never allowed to flourish because of the prevalent strong caste system that was designed by the high-caste to keep the high-caste at the pedestal and suppress the low-caste, and then out of the blue some foreign guy came along and reassured me that his new religion would treat everyone equally (for e.g. anybody from the Christian faith is allowed to go inside the same church and sit alongside other Christians on the same bench, no rule of untouchabilty etc, and I might even get some free food and better job thanks to the missionary charities), I guess we all can see why Christianity got popular and many Hindus decided to leave their loyalty behind and convert 😊

Bjp people crying in comment section saying forced conversion 😂😂. And i saw someone saying brahmins and Kshatriyas were poor beggers😂😂. I don't know about others but the brahmins and Kshatriyas had most land and had oppressed fellow hindus of lower castes very much, we can still see the proofs for that in south india and ahould i remind you that the women in lower classes had to do a revolution inorder to get the right to hide their upper parts (chest)??? In those times Christianity and islam religion came through merchants to kerala and south india so because there was no caste system and positive support they got from attending the churches made them convert. U guys who preach about everything exept Hinduism is against india and calls Gandhi a traitor has no chills
