THIS!! It was the VPN issue for me. I use a VPN a lot and I moved over to a new phone and the VPN was causing major problems with WiFi connectivity. I followed everything in the chapter beginning at 2:08. Once I REMOVED and DELETED all the VPNs in the VPN menu, my wifi finally worked again perfectly and stabilized. Thank you so much!

Thank you. I turned of Wi-Fi Assist and hopefully that will solve the issue. Now I need to find a solution for my friend's Android phone 😂

This is the information you can find anywhere else and is useless. No matter what iphone I have, this is the problem. I'm using an old Samsung phone and never have that issue on the same network.

If you turn off cellular data it stays connected. Using Iphone 15 pro max. Used to stay connected but now when screens off for a few seconds it disconnects. not sure what I did wifi assist doesn't help.

Also don't update your phone apples not any better. Did one update seems to be less responsive when screen turns on. Can't turn off depth effect in wallpaper. Not sure if this is also cause of update.

Not a big deal everything else still works but in my experience updates can really mess up your phone.

Hi, my phone is iPhone 13 pro max.
my problem is it keeps disconnecting when it goes to Lock Screen mode. When l wake the phone, l have to wait almoast a minute or so to get connected again or l have to open wifi settings so that it connects quicker in this way.
This problem has happened so regularly that while l was playing a game, l paused it and went to wc and when l came back, the phone went Lock Screen mode and when l wake it, the game says “you have been disconnected. Please check you wifi connection “ l only gone for 5minutes and it disconnects 😤😡🤬 this is so annoying.

I am in remote area. Phone is disconnecting from wifi during call. Cell tower quality bad. Final solution: put the cell in airplane mode. Try to make a call. Cell will ask to go Wifi. Yes. That force phone to go in Wifi only. Took me five years to find out.

iphone system sucks. that's why the iphone battery lasts so long, because the system forces the network to sleep while on lockscreen. that's how they make the battery last so long, and it's so annoying.

Thank you!
Apple seems to give low priority to 802.1x networks, and thinks pre-shared key is better for some stupid reason. It appears that with a mediocre cell signal, the iPhone decides that it's better to connect to that if the local wireless network is a super-strong 802.1x. It makes absolutely no sense. PSK is NOT better than 802.1x, Apple!!! But at least disabling Wi-Fi Assist seems to be working on our iPhones so far and letting them stay on our powerful wireless instead of trying to jump off onto the weak cell signal.

“Make sure you connect to right network”…. What’s that even mean??? What is right network?? Which one is right? What makes it “right” network??
