Bought my third Duc, 1997 900ss. Put a 14 teeth front sprocket on.
K&N filter, open top airfilter box, Dynojet 2, standard looking mufflers
made in Holland done by previous owner.
Because of the lower gearing the bike becomes way more vivid & nicer
to drive at low rpm. (at the cost of a lower
Your clutch vid is really revealing ! Thank you for that. Cheers.

Love that you leave the real bits in Andy, like having to take the chain back off and rotate the wheel to get the chain tool in a good place, it's why jobs take twice the time ! Keep it coming fella great viewing .

These videos and the Hayes manual give me confidence that I can do all my own maintenance on my 1998 900SS CR.

Proper job 👍. Use to make every chain form lifting the rods in nuclear reactors to push bikes, ( Renold Chains). Always amazes me how well chains deal with the loads and conditions we put them through.😁👍

I'm so glad I found your videos, I'm getting a 95 CR back on the road and your videos will no doubt help me brother. I have to do all this same work, I'll have to do the rear sprocket too...hahah, so I had hoped to watch that. NO it up!

I've seen blokes on superbikes with the same chain tension as when you first fitted it.

If people don't want to risk metal & compound filings from using a grinder on a high quality bike. I use a CB-50 duel rivet roller chain breaker. They are a procession tool that remove both pins at once with out any need to use a grinder.

I removed the head of my chain rivet with a hand file in less than a minute. No need for a grinder.

that just proves my point I have made to some peeps you do not have to change the chain and sprockets as a matched pair if either is in good order you can just replace the worn bit and move on

I like the way you polished those rivet heads off :-)

Those early Supersports were so much better looking than the ones that came after. That one you have looks really sharp. I had never really paid attention to the SS but yours is making me want one. Love that shiny deep red color. Also, what's the thing with Delboy all about? Edit: nevermind I watched your other video which answers that question.

Throw that chain breaker away. Once it's grounded use a screwdriver to pry the end of you ground. Then just pull the link off with your hand from the back or tap it off with a screwdriver and hammer.

If it's not broken dont fix it . Great life mado.

Clever system. A plate that holds down the drive sprocket on its splines. Only 2 small fasteners. Mechanically superior to a large securing nut, woodruf key and splines. Lighter and simpler. Maybe the sprockets weren't changes in tandem at some point? Sometimes uneven wear can save a few bucks.
