This machine does display significant digits correctly. When you press mode 8 it selects SCI mode but expects a second parameter which is the significant digits number, since you pressed 8, 8 appeared. If you do mode then 8 then 2, you will get 2 significant digits.

Thank you so so much, we had a test earlier and I got 1/5 it's kind of like a test that tests if you're listening to the teacher, now I know how to use it! Thank you again!

Thanks for the video. I have to say the process is much easier/simpler on the Texas Instrument calculators. A lot of people think the Casios are superior because you get a few extra features for the money, but they are more difficult to use and require more steps.

This could be simplified by using the memory stacks. Put the numerator in one stack, insert the division operation, and put the denominator in another stack, and then push the equal sign button.
Stacks allows you to solve large equations comfortably. But if you will use stacks incorrectly, the calculator outputs wrong answer or syntax error.

After getting your answer, why didn’t you simply hit the 2nd function key and then “ENG” key? That would convert your long answer to an easy to read engineering notation.

Amazing that an 8 dollar calculator can do better than my 80's era TI-55...
