Im in the process right now of making up my parts list, paying a shop to do this swap for me, i just need to supply the parts. Trying to get just the bare bones parts just too get the car started and driving so i can drive it back home. I can do all the fancy stuff myself later on down the road.

I watched a vid few days ago dude with a yellow and black beat rocket bunny 350z said he spent over 30k on his 2jz swap. He did it himself but everything looked like sht and it sounded like it was about to blowup. Not to mention all the issues he was having with it.

I’m trying to get everything I need to swap a 2jz into a 350z, would you recommend building a 2jz ge or just buy a gte?

I know this is over a year old video, but I just found it the other day, because I'm wanting to buy a RX-8 and 2JZ swap it in the near future. One thing I noticed is you didn't mention the transmission. Did you use the stock transmission that came with the motor? I know from doing a some research myself, the transmission won't work with the RX-8 rear end, so I'd have to find another one.

Also I noticed you said, you picked up the motor from that depot in Ohio in 2019 for $2550 with the transmission too. I went to their website and they have one in stock and guess how much they want, $6390...what a fucking rip off 😂 so overpriced. Guess I'll have to talk them down, and just get the motor itself, don't need the transmission.
