I have no idea how anyone can come up with this. The instrumentation is so unique. The buzzy synth bass under the plucky strings and weird percussion…. Incredible.

The violins at the end are fantastic. It just gives off a sense of impending dread.

Typical Radiohead: the first track gets you hooked, and slowly and surely, the album becomes addictive.

Note: no-one has mouths to speak out, and they're expressionless, except those who will be burned: the man with the X on his door and the Inspector, and of course the bird who's trying to tell everybody (singing) but nobody is interpreting.

We're studying this song in school, the gradual build up through the events in the songs narrative, lyrics, and storytelling is incredible!

The composition of this song is incredible. The range of feelings it inspires, the tension of the strings, the child-like confusion of the bass, the war drums, and Thom's haunted but somehow familiar voice... it all combines into something truly amazing.

The progression in this song is amazing!

solid tune right here, not too basic to be underwhelming but not too experimental to be uncanny

Had no idea that this song came out in 2016... I've always thought it was something much older. It feels like a classic that's lived for decades

I just cannot explain how I feel when I listen to Radiohead: Euphoric? Dissonant? Restless? In Love?

i remember studying this song in my first year of music school ... almost 4 yrs later i'm now a music producer and this song was part of my journey ... thank you Radiohead and all my teachers!

Yorke's voice almost literally soars over the black keys and sharpish orchestral notes. This is one of the band's finer late productions. It is remarkable that nearly 30 years since they burst on the music scene, they are just as relevant, if not more, than at any time.

There is something about the crescendo of the strings culminating at the same time that the town leader has turned and raises his arms that is just so powerful. What a superb blending of audio and visual media - the whole really is greater than the sum of its parts in this case.

Nicholas Cage's acting in this video is much less wooden than usual.

This is good but it needs more bear punching and bee helmets

Jonny Greenwood is smashing it up here. You can hear the There Will Be Blood oozing out of this beautifully haunting tune.

Fun Fact: 3:41 as the villagers are waving to the camera, look at the small tree on the left behind the striped pole. He's escaped as they turned their backs.
