as someone who works in pet care, if you are going to get this dog PLEASE put time and effort into training and socializing these dogs. i have met many more untouchable corsos than i have nice ones. they can be amazing dogs but they need guidance and discipline from the beginning

As a Cane, Corso, owner I own a 18 month old female ivy and she is absolutely a dream. She is well socialised her temperament is amazing. She is very intelligent. These dogs need dedicated owners.

I’ve owned 2 Cane Corsos, they are the most trainable dogs. Extremely intelligent and always ready to serve and protect.

I'm guessing you've never owned or seen a Cane Corso. I had 5 & all about a year apart. It is the best breed out there. Each one can be a loving lap dog or a fierce protector. You can live on a farm or a one bedroom apartment. As long as they are with you....they are happy. The only problem I have with them. Is I did not have enough hands to pet them all at the same time.

They are completely friendly dog if you raise them with love and treat them like a child.Dogs are angels and they act differently according to their owners.

Like any big dog you have to have them around people in their early years. I had a Cane that just passed away and he was the best dog ever. He loved people and kids. I trusted him around anyone as long as they didn't have a stick in their hand. He would knock you over for a stick or stuff animal.

If you need to use pain to discipline your dog, then you shouldn't own a dog, no matter what breed. The only reason someone shouldn't own a Cane Corso is because they are a WORKING dog, they need to be active both physically and mentally. Shame on you for even hinting that pain is any kind of acceptable training tool. It's not.

I own a cane corso and recommend one. This creator is exaggerating everything to make the breed look bad. Cane corso's can be whatever kind of dog you like, but it takes tim, patience, and effort to train this dog. Overall, this is an amazing breed.

Well I have never owned one, but have had a male Rottweiler, male Doberman, and a female Rottweiler, and a female Doberman. The male Rottweiler was extremely territorial, and I hear the Corso’s are ten times more so. Both of my Rottweilers were kicked out of the dog park for incidents with other dogs. The Dobermans were more manageable but bonded with just one member of the family. When you get one of these guardian breeds be aware there is a risky liability that goes along with it. They must have obedience training, or you’re asking for trouble.

It’s pronounced “caan-nae” corso. And yes I have one, she’s a 7 y/o and weighs close to 140. Big girl!
